Fat loss tips 
1. The obvious one “cut down on Saturated fat” found in meat, butter, and dairy.
2. Become more active, using everyday situations to utilise the process of expending calories e.g. taking the stairs instead of the lift, or walking to the shops instead of driving.
3. Take up a hobby or sport, this can be anything from swimming to an aerobics class, the less time spent sitting around the better.
4. Drink less alcohol as this is a major cause of weight gain.
5. Cut down on late night simple carbs! e.g. bread, pasta, rice and potatoes.
6. Smart snacking! Eating fruit, vegetables, nut and seeds instead of biscuits and crisps.
7. Eat only when hungry! When was the last time you actually heard your tummy rumble?? This is a great indicator that you need to eat.
8. Eat complex starchy carbs through the day (oats, brown rice/pasts) to keep your hunger at bay! Low GI foods will curb your appetite and stabilise blood sugar levels.
9. Drinking at least 21/2 litres of water per day, (fruit juices and herbals teas all count towards your daily quota)
10. Portion control, don’t dish yourself a “mansize” portion, half the size of your meal/portion compared to your partner, especially at dinner as this is the most sedentary part of the day.
